Peccavimus, et facti sumus tamquam immundus nos,

We have sinned, and are become as one that is unclean,

et cecidimus quasi folium universi:

and we have all fallen as a leaf:

et iniquitates nostrae quasi ventus abstulerunt nos:

and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away:

abscondisti faciem tuam a nobis,

thou hast hid thy face from us,

et allisisti nos in manu iniquitatis nostrae.

and hast crushed us by the hand of our iniquity.

Rorate caeli desuper,

Drop down dew, ye heavens, from above,

et nubes pluant iustum.

and let the clouds rain down the Just One.
